Planning Your Wedding on a Tight Budget

Planning Your Wedding on a Tight Budget-All women would agree that weddings should never be compromised. If women had their way and money was no object, weddings would take place on a grand scale. Everyone would be invited to participate on this ceremonious event. But restrictions must be made, especially in this economy. Even if you do have the money to afford an expensive wedding you might want to reconsider spending too much on one day. Sure it's your wedding but do you really need all the extra stuff?

Here are some tips on planning a perfect wedding on a tight budget.

1. Imagine what kind of wedding you want

Where do you want to get married? When do you want to get married? Who are going to be invited? Decide now on the details of your wedding and put a price tag on them. Decide how much you are willing to pay for each and every item. Remember that putting a realistic price on each item will make you be more prudent with the things you want if you are planning a wedding on a tight budget.

2. Who do you want to invite in your wedding?

Now this here is the tricky part. You don't really want to insult anyone by not inviting them but you don't want to spend too much either. If you really want to have a wedding on a tight budget then you might want to reconsider inviting the friend of friends or coworkers who you normally wouldn't talk to on a regular basis. You may step on some toes while you cross people out of your list but it is for the best.

3. Trim the fat, where you can

You do understand that however you plan your wedding some minor changes will eventually take place here and there. This can be a good thing as you will be taking out all the less important things that you don't need.

4. Remember that you are preparing a wedding on a tight budget-stick to your guns

If you planned to spend this amount of money then make sure that you spend exactly that. Not a penny more. There are other options. If you have time to spare before the big day then waiting for a better thing to come may be the better solution then immediately spending on the first fabulous and expensive dress you find. If you find something that is way out of your budget, but you think your wedding just cannot do without then you are going to have to take the excess amount out of other things. If you want a more expensive gown then maybe you should rethink about hiring a band.

5. Borrow things from your mother

You don't have to shell out that much cash on jewelry! You can borrow them from your mother, sister or friend before the big day. You don't have to own the jewelry that you are going to wear. After all you only need to look perfect for one day.
